Terrific new dance learned - April 8, 2008

We had a great but exhausting master class with Taras. In a roughly five hour workshop we learned a brand new Transcarpathian dance complete with props! We are working on smoothing it out, making new costumes, and preparing it for release at our summer concerts.

Master Class Scheduled - March 11, 2008

We have scheduled a master class with Taras Lewyckyj, the artistic director of the Voloshky Ukrainian Dance Ensemble in Philadelphia, PA, on April 6th. We are going to learn some more spectacular Ukrainian dances in this all-day workshop. Hopefully you'll be seeing the results soon!

Down The Road Album Release! - March 15, 2007

We released our new studio album Down The Road in March 2007! This CD showcases the new sound of the band, with the addition of John Powers (vocals and mandolin), Amy Smith (vocals and banjo), and Kevin Anderson (bass) since the last album. All of the songs on this recording have been in the folk tradition for many years -- ranging from classic Bluegrass tunes and Australian whaling songs to lilting Irish ballads. Thanks to all our friends for making this possible!
